The Treatment
A warm paste of sugar, lemon, and water. A technique Egypt has practiced for centuries.
Start with a consultationSugaring is the oldest hair removal method still in use, and it came from Egypt. The paste is nothing but sugar, lemon, and water, cooked to the color of dark amber and worked by hand. It is applied barely warm, never hot, and it clings to the hair rather than the skin.
That difference is the whole craft. The paste is spread against the direction of growth and released with it, so hair comes away whole instead of snapping at the surface. There are no resins, no strips, and nothing that a rinse of water will not clear away. Skin that objects to conventional waxing tends to sit quietly through sugaring.
Brows, lip, and face through legs, arms, and underarms, the same paste serves them all. If you are not sure whether sugaring or conventional waxing suits you better, that is exactly what the consultation call is for.

Questions
About sugar waxing
Anything not answered here gets answered on your consultation call.
What is sugar waxing?
Hair removal with a warm paste of sugar, lemon, and water, a technique first practiced in ancient Egypt. The paste clings to hair rather than skin, is applied barely warm, and is removed in the direction the hair grows, so hair comes away whole.
How is sugaring different from regular waxing?
Conventional wax uses resins, sets onto the skin, and pulls against the direction of growth. Sugar paste holds the hair instead of the skin, releases with the growth direction, and rinses away with plain water. Both are offered at the salon; the consultation call settles which suits your skin.
How long does my hair need to be?
About a quarter of an inch, which is roughly two weeks of growth for most people. If it is longer, come in anyway; the paste handles length better than strip wax does.
Does sugar waxing hurt?
Removing hair from the root is never nothing, but most guests find sugaring noticeably milder than strip waxing because the paste does not grip live skin and is never applied hot. The feeling is a brief, firm flick that fades quickly.
How long do the results last?
Three to four weeks for most guests, depending on the area and your own regrowth. Regular appointments keep the cycle predictable.
How should I prepare, and what does it cost?
Exfoliate gently the day before, arrive with clean, dry skin, and skip lotions that morning. Pricing depends on the areas treated and is quoted on your consultation call, with the $40 consultation fee credited to your service.
